Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Saudi Arabia soon

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has confirmed that Prime Minister Imran Khan will soon pay an important visit to Saudi Arabia.
He said this while addressing a function held at the Pakistani Embassy during his visit to Tehran. He said that everyone is aware of the importance of Saudi Arabia for the Muslim Ummah. Inshallah, I will have the opportunity to go to Saudi Arabia with Prime Minister Imran Khan soon.

He said talks would also be held with the Saudi Foreign Minister and the Saudi leadership in this regard. In my opinion, when Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Iran raise this knowledge together, I am sure that the whole nation will agree on one point.

Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that he had discussed with the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament the growing trend of Islamophobia. We are deeply concerned about the way the extremist class is fanning Islamophobia in the West.
The Foreign Minister said that we are not against freedom of expression, the right to freedom of expression is also protected by the Constitution but it does not mean that anyone should be offended under its guise.

He said that he was aware that some such statements and sketches had come to light in the last few days which had offended not only us but also the entire Muslim Ummah.

He said that the Pakistani nation went through great anguish and grief after the publication of these blasphemous sketches. Pakistan is an ideological country and came into being in the name of Islam. It is our duty to speak out against it globally.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had raised his voice against Islamophobia in the UN General Assembly. Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed on the floor of the United Nations our claim of slavery and love with the government and the two worlds.

He said that Allah Almighty gave me the opportunity in the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Muslim countries that I presented a resolution against Islamophobia which was passed unanimously, that resolution reflects our thinking and sentiments.

The Foreign Minister said that a resolution in this regard was also passed unanimously in the National Assembly of Pakistan. I’m glad my feelings, impressions, and thoughts were respected.

“The speaker of the Iranian parliament agreed with me that the Iranian parliament, like the Pakistani legislature, should raise its voice,” he said. I suggested to him that the scholars of Pakistan and Iran should work out a joint strategy to counter this aggression wisely. We have shared a common direction.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that he would visit Turkey soon and would also discuss the matter with the Turkish Foreign Minister. I am familiar with the beliefs of Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and the Foreign Minister, their thinking is in line with our thinking.
