T20 World Cup Pakistan beats Scotland, faces Australia in semi-final

Lahore: (Web Desk) Pakistan beat Scotland by 72 runs in Group 2 of T20 World Cup and now the match against Australia in the semi-final will be played on November 11.
The 41st match of the mega event was played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in which Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first against Scotland.

Scotland innings


In pursuit of Pakistan’s 190-run target, Scotland’s George Mancey and Kyle Quetzer started the innings while Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled the first over.
Scotland scored 117 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs, George Mansey 17, Quetzal 9, and Matthew Cross 5 runs.
Michael Laske (14), Dylan Budge (0), and Chris Graves (4) were all out for the losing side while Richie Barrington (54) was the top scorer.

Pakistan innings


In the match against Scotland, Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan started the innings.
Mohammad Rizwan scored 15 runs and was caught by Hamza Tahir while the other batsman who got out was Fakhr Zaman who returned to the pavilion on the ball of Graves after scoring 8 runs. Mohammad Hafeez scored 31 runs off 18 balls and was LBW., Captain Babar Azam scored 66 and returned to the pavilion on the ball of Graves.
